We make one thing, and we make it properly.

Urban Lilith began with a wrap belt — not a buckle, not a trend, but a length of leather that a woman wraps around herself the way she chooses. It sculpts, it drapes, it moves. It turns a plain dress into an outfit and a saree into a statement. We have been refining that one idea ever since.

Today we make wrap belts, slim wraps, classic buckle belts, and our first leather earwear collection, Ways of Being. Everything is designed and handcrafted in India, in small batches, by hands we know.

What handcrafted actually means here

Real leather, chosen not sourced. 100% genuine top-grain leather. It creases, it softens, it takes on a patina. That is the point — a good belt should look better in year three than it did on day one.
Small batches, not production runs. Which is why colours sell out and come back, rather than sitting in a warehouse.
Natural variation is not a defect. Every hide is different. Slight differences in colour, grain and texture are the signature of the real thing.

The note in the box

Every order that leaves us has a handwritten note in it. Not printed — written. I write them myself, and I have written thousands. It is the least efficient thing we do and the one I will never give up, because a belt bought online is still a thing a person chose, and that deserves a reply.

The rest of the box is considered the same way — the dust bag, the wrap, the way it opens. Customers write to us about the packaging as often as the product. That is not an accident.

The Leather We Use

We use 100% genuine top-grain leather — the strongest, most characterful layer of the hide, and the one that ages instead of wearing out. It creases where you fold it, softens where you wrap it, and takes on a patina no finish can fake. Every hide is different, so slight variation in colour, grain and texture is not a flaw — it is the signature of the real thing. A good belt should look better in year three than it did on day one.
